Tip of the Week…

“I guess the more the merrier and location does not matter. LOL.” – Howard Gibbs, G4Roofing, Fort Worth, TX

Location does matter. Keep the attic exhaust vents in one single row horizontally. Installing the correct quantity of vents is important, but so is maintaining curbside appeal. Function and fashion can coexist. Thanks for finding and sharing these, Howard.

Tip of the Week…

Don’t use attic exhaust vents on top of chimneys. Thanks for finding and sharing this, Craig.

“I have seen both of these attic exhaust vents improperly used on top of masonry chimneys. The static vent is on top of a chimney that vents the flue gasses from the furnace and water heater. The wind turbine is on top of a chimney for a fireplace.” – Craig Haas, Mark’s Home Inspection Service, Solon, OH.
