Democrats have supported exactly what President Donald J. Trump is wanting now. Curious how their hate of Trump has changed their position.

Democrat Senator Harry Reid introduced legislation in 1993 to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants.

“No sane country would do that — No sane country would give illegals citizenship,” Reid said on the Senate floor.

“If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with U.S. Citizenship and a guarantee to have full access to all public and social services this society provides.”

Reid’s Immigration Stabilization Act aimed to clarify the 14th Amendment so children born in the U.S. to mothers who are not citizens or lawful permanent residents would not automatically receive citizenship.
