Completely awed at The Journey North: Hope Labor and Culture exhibition at the Every wall was a visual journey that filled me with emotion. Very very strong show and much needed.

Carving out the past for the new year.

“Come see my movie you’ll love it. It’s playing now!” Udo Kier called out joyfully to people on the street in front of the Texas theater. Drink in hand, smiling with piercing eyes, “Come! It’s free! There are seats come and see it! It’s beautiful!” Udo was pure joy at the 2021 Oak Cliff Film Fest, later on stage he was bubbly with love for audiences and story telling. I captured this in a post I made for the fest that year. I envy everyone who was able to work with him before he passed. RIP Udo Kier.
