Look at that finished product 😍🔥🙌🏼 This was a huge job that initially started as a DENIAL with State Farm after big hail fell and destroyed this part of Tyler, Texas. This roof had holes in it from the hail hits and needed to be replaced. After several months of sending in additional documentation and going through several adjusters, we got the roof approved! Then came the exciting part of deciding what roofing system to go back with that was going to be cost effective and compliment this stunning home. We landed on our most popularly installed shingle, the @malarkeyroofingproducts Vista Class 4 Impact Resistant shingle in Brilliant Black. We got to be one of the first few contractors to use the new Secure Start Lite synthetic felt from Malarkey on this job! (That’s the green underlayment at the beginning of this video) We had several other huge upgrades for this home: We replaced the four original 5’x5’ fiberglass skylights with custom Low E laminated glass skylights - each of those weighed 250+ lbs. Shout out to Acralite of Texas in Garland for fabricating, delivering and installing. Upgraded the ventilation to use four of the 35W @atticbreeze solar powered fans - locally made in Texas and backed by a lifetime warranty. (We are certified installers - ask me about solar ventilation!) Finished off the hips and ridges with the class 4 Malarkey EZ Ridge high profile shingle for an elevated look. Reflashed all 4 of the chimneys as it had the original flashing from when the home was built. The local roofer that did this roof 5 years ago skipped on the drip edge - it’s required by building code, the manufacturer and also protects the fascia from rot. We went back with our standard 2”x2” drip edge giving this home additional protection over most other companies 1.5”x1.5” drip edge. After the new 6” gutters and leaf screens are installed next week we will be all done with our scope of work.
