Mayfield Elementary

Mayfield Elementary second grade students participated in “Bubble Day.” The math and science classes collaborated to compare the quality of store-bought versus homemade bubble solutions and explored a variety of items to see if they created bubbles. The students made two bubble wands from pipe cleaners and tested which one worked better. They also created “snakes” using sections of pool noodles covered with socks. The activities were designed for prediction and result comparisons, as well as for fun.

Our amazing 4th graders earned a well-deserved field trip to the park for showing outstanding behavior and working so hard during STAAR and MAP testing! 🌟

We are so proud of their focus, teamwork, and positive attitudes throughout testing season. Today was all about celebrating their effort, making memories with friends, and enjoying some fun in the sun at the park! ☀️🛝⚽️🏐🏈⚾️

The Mayfield Elementary Bilingual team hosted a Lotería night for students and their families. Participants played to win a variety of gifts ranging from an air fryer to a flat top griddle.
