Happy Anniversary to Aysha and Ezzy! I still love how I got to spend the entire weekend with them, celebrating their Mehndi, Henna, and Wedding days all back to back!

Being able to see Pakistani, Palestinian, and American cultures come together in one big celebration was so beautiful and it was incredibly perfect for these two. I still look back on these photos with such joy in my heart because both of their families and friends brought me in like I was also one of them!

I get more hits off this one image than maybe any other I’ve taken. I’m so floored sometimes by what becomes a statement piece for me. I love doing these late night table set ups, using only literally what is already on the table. (okay maybe Haley’s shoes weren’t ON the table but she had taken them off at her chair and how could I resist adding them to this moment!)

It’s always fun for me to also show the dichotomy of the beginning of the day versus the end of the night. Starting with everything more buttoned up, more aligned and styled, and then ending with a little more chaos, harsh light, half eaten cake. It’s my favorite.

I’m so happy that my couples send this photo back to me when they talk about their inspiration. It means I’m doing something right 💁🏼‍♀️
