Ruby Rainbow Beauty

Some days are hard and lonely, but I am capable of so much joy and I am worthy of love and respect and healthy boundaries. I am proud of myself for actively working on self-improvement and still managing to be empathetic and compassionate and understanding of the duality of a situation even as part of me wants to scream and rage at the unfairness of it all. I have done so much for my own health (mental and physical) in the last year and am continuing to do so, and I am so proud of myself for that. Some days I cry over and over and over, but thats okay! It makes moments like the one pictured, where I feel joy and it radiates from my whole face, all the more cherished because how can one honor the highs if they dont know what the lows feel like?

Anyway. Here's to another year of further growth and the hope that on this day next year, I can say that the hurtful things sting a little less than they do today. I hope that I never take for granted the beauty of simple joys and laughing with my family.

I think one of my favorite things about the last couple of years is the way I went from being uncomfortable in red to now its one of my favorite colors to wear. And forever with the sparkles and fishnets because why not?
