This was actually my second flight for the 1:48 scale Firefly Alpha model rocket. The first one resulted in some melting of the fins, so I made some small adjustments to make this flight 🙌.

Rocketdyne F-1 looking good!
Before Starship, there was the Rocketdyne F-1. Still one of the most impressive engines ever built. It powered the first stage (S-IC) of the Saturn V.
Each engine produced about 1.5 million pounds of thrust, 😳 and there were 5 engines per rocket lifting astronauts to the Moon during Apollo program.
🚀 Great design always starts with great research. 🤓
The Starship V3 Lunar Variant (HLS) kit MIGHT be my favorite one out of the whole collection. 🔥
The thrusters, the elevator, the see-through windows, and… THE LANDING LEGS. 🤓 SpaceX put so much detail into this one and I wanted our 1:100 scale model rocket to capture it all.
