🍎 Patience isn’t proven when everything is going your way.

It’s revealed when prayers feel delayed, people are difficult, and circumstances aren’t changing as quickly as you’d like.

“The only way to know you have patience is when a demand is placed on it” —see the last recap pic.

Today we were reminded that God often grows patience in the places we wouldn’t choose—but those very places are producing Christlike character in us.

Stay faithful in the waiting. 🌿

Sunday at Deeper Church was one we won’t forget. 🕊️

We celebrated 4 baptisms as people publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ. One of the most touching moments was seeing a dear friend of Pastor Rohan’s travel from New York and overcome significant obstacles just to make this declaration of faith. God’s grace truly meets us in pursuit.

Pastor Tarrique Henry, our Next Gen Pastor, continued our Rooted series with a powerful message: Rooted in Peace.

He reminded us that biblical peace is not simply the absence of trouble—it is the presence of God in the middle of it. Through Galatians 5, Isaiah 26, Psalm 23, and the story of Stephen in Acts 6–7, we were challenged to anchor ourselves in the Spirit and trust God even in difficult seasons.

“Peace is not the absence of your problems, but the presence of a Person.”

Stephen’s story especially challenged us: though he experienced chaos externally, he carried peace internally because his eyes were fixed on Jesus. That same peace is available to us through the Holy Spirit today.

What a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend Sunday filled with worship, transformation, baptisms, and the unmistakable presence of God.

We’re thankful for every person who said yes to Jesus and every life continuing to be rooted deeply in Him.

ROOTED — Season 2 🌱 | JOY

What a BIG Sunday at Deeper Church.

We celebrated graduates, students moving up into new seasons, Summer Kickoff Sunday, and the many ways God is continuing to grow our church family. We also welcomed David Higgins and the DWJD team as we emphasized outreach, serving, and connecting with our community this summer.

This Sunday also marked the semester closeout for The Movement (our middle and high school ministry) with outgoing Student Pastor Alix Robinson bringing a powerful word on Joy in our Rooted: Fruit of the Spirit series.

Pastor Alix reminded us that biblical joy is deeper than emotion and cannot be tied to circumstances, people, performance, or possessions.

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” — Nehemiah 8:10

Because we are connected to the Vine, others should be able to “pick” joy from our lives. 🍎

As we step into summer, we’re believing for deeper connection, outreach, healing, discipleship, and transformed lives through Jesus.
