Like working with youth? Well, this is the opportunity for you! ASCENT (A Student Challenge in Engineering and Technology are looking for 15 dedicated volunteers (police check *required*, can be obtained online for free!), to aid us in hosting our annual leadership seminar + conference!
Each year, we host a conference for high school students, where the students team up in groups of 4 to compete for different modules and competitive events in the fields of STEM. Last year, we had a successful event attracting more than 70 high school students to compete at ASCENT 2018. This year, ASCENT 2019 will host up to 180 students! The conference will run Feb 21-22, from 9-5 PM on both days. If your students participate in a SHSM program, they can also attain certifications that can be used towards the completion of that SHSM!
