Normally by this time of the year, I'd have lost about half my flock to hawks. This year, I've lost ZERO chickens!
Why the difference? Two chickens from last year survived and taught the new chickens all they'd learned. There are now twenty-two trained eyeballs scanning the sky.
Generational learning is tremendously valuable to free range chickens!

I picked and processed these Friday night for delivery to The Cu***ng Harvest early Saturday morning.

I pick this much every 2-3 days! If you live near Cu***ng or Canton, I'd love to sell you fresh, organic produce. If you're a friend who's willing to drive to the country for a visit, I'll give you veggies to thank you for the effort.

Crop update:
I have zucchini ready for sale! The yellow squash and green beans should be available in about a week.

I'm very happy with my Stihl Yard Boss. The optional wheels provide a stable platform that helps you get close to crops safely. It's way better than hoeing! It took 2 - 2.5 hours to w**d 3000 sq feet and till another 1000 sq feet, and I was still able to lift my arms when I was done.
The only negative is the finger activated throttle. I had to stay around half power during the first 3 tanks of fuel, and it was hard to hold the throttle steady while also moving the tiller around.

My tiller works great when it's installed correctly! I'm pretty sure nobody at Mason Tractor has ever seen the inside of any tiller manual.
The lower tractor mounts are now properly separated by 26 7/8". They were attached where you see the dark marks on either side of the gearbox, only 13" apart.
Moving the attachment points further apart really improved the tiller stability, but it also moved the tiller closer to the tractor. As a result, I got to cut an inch off each PTO shaft half with a hacksaw late on Friday night.
