Thoughts on how some magical traditions can be performative instead of useful for spiritual development. From another post.

Spiritual development sufficient to make you question your existence, beliefs, and forces you to undo every assertion and the ego programmed by everything else and sustained by one's comfort in it. Only then love and compassion takes on the universal perspective. Before that it is performative, erzats of depth and in application. It being supportive of one's mirroring of collective ideals. That being said the assertions and application is untested from a divine perspective one should cultivate to have the ability of true will.
Sadly hermetics regardless of tradition is a collection of symbols, assertions with opinions that most out of the symbolic juggling becomes mental ma********on.
Without experience , comparative experiences, and the will to love and with compassion to see those experiences in the lens of the other person people are jousting with the symbols, the ascribed meanings and their egoic constructs. Seeing that, and their comfort in their constructed spiritual ego there is little point in supporting a lot of that while trying to cultivate your will and how it applies successfully in one's world. Life is finite, true love is approaching the infinite, truth is. People's application of those principles out of harmony has no integrity. With integrity life can be more than one life.
Me blathering about this does nothing for these people until they have the spark to be uncomfortable embrace pain, and even face death to see , embrace and apply truth and love in harmony.

Can you describe the feeling of having your aura cleansed?

This may be long.

First to answer the expected feeling. The feeling you get when you get chills or goose bumps. You are likely to feel it like that and a bit warm, where they are doing the work and sometimes it will reverberate to other parts of the body. For the lack of a better description like a post or**sm vibe.

Cleansing an aura is a temporary effect. One needs to do internal reflection, meditation and meditation with the body to resolve the traumas and attachments that connected to the body, and our relationship to it emotionally, mentally, and therefore energetically. Without managing that, the patterns of life and attracting the same type or even projecting it from yourself, that will encourage the same type of negative aura energies.

If you feel depleted after the aura cleansed, the practitioner may have gone too deep and or maybe a vampire.
If you feel prickles, hot spots, etc. could be a vampire or person who doesn’t know what they are doing, causing damage.
If they are using their hands like dribbling a basketball over your chakra, just stop the session. They are poorly trained are addicted in this type of vampirism.

Aura cleansing is temporary. Doing the internal work is more important.
