🌳Meet the Teacher

Hi! I am Cheryl, aka Ms. Gigi. I am excited to be coming to Standing Oak Tutorial to teach my first year in Form 1. The more I learn about Charlotte Mason’s philosophy the more I love it. The children are challenged to learn and think for themselves. While rich literature will deepen their love for reading and learning. As well as other subjects.

I can’t wait to be a part of their learning journey, as they grow academically as well as spiritually and emotionally with the healthy environment of community that loves them. Including me!

A little about myself….
My husband and I are retired pastors after 30 years of serving the Lord, at home and abroad. Six year’s ago we moved to the Cu***ng area, to enjoy retirement with our family.

For many of those years I was a Children’s Pastor, as well as a teaching assistant in a Christian School (in the preschool). As well as working in other schools in my younger years.
I am looking forward to working with this special age group of children. I feel the Lord has brought me to Standing Oak, “For such a time as this”.

Enjoying family time together is one beautiful piece of summer.
