Funny story:

I picked up 5 bottle babies from the shelter yesterday and brought them home to foster. I got the foster room set up for their first feeding then opened the crate to take out the first kitten. The pink collar kitten was limp, belly up, melted on the heating rock, with his tongue hanging out. “Oh no!” I thought. “One kitten died before I even got him home!” I gently lifted him out and he was completely limp and floppy. At which point he lifted his head and started screaming and my heart started beating again. He sucked down a full syringe of kitten formula and was obviously fine. He gave me a jolt, though. I guess he was just super relaxed.

The Social Media Darlings litter - Rizz (black and white boy), Big Yikes (black boy), and Delulu (black girl) - have been returned to the shelter. They’re 7 weeks old and they’ve been with us for 5 weeks. They started out being bottle fed and stimulated to potty, went through the gruel stage, and now all 3 are weaned and letterbox trained. We said we’d return them fat and sassy and we achieved that. They are all social, snuggly, playful, purry kittens and some lucky families are going to get some delightful kittens.
