Fun fact: mosaic tile sheets are not easier to install than subway tile!

We've had multiple people tell us that the backsplash should be easier, quicker, and cheaper to install because the mosaic sheet covers more surface area. While that does sound logical it absolutely is not the case.

Almost every single time we've installed mosaic tile sheets, we have to fix issues in the design. The tiles are usually glued to a mesh backing. Well not all of the tiles are perfectly straight. So now we need to either pull some of the tiny tiles off the sheet to space them properly or if there's flexibility we space them on the wall. That takes a lot of time to fix. We didn't even mention the fact that every tile moves when trying to cut it on the wetsaw. It's not a fun process to cut a straight line!

Now if you picked a subway tile or something similar then it's almost as easy as set and forget. Yes there are spacers involved but it's pretty much uniform. Actually some subway tiles are made to not even use spacers. They have bumps on the sides to space it for you. Just depends what size grout line you'd like. Also when you cut them they don't move. Nice straight cuts every time!

Although it is a pain in the butt to install certain kinds of tile, we'll still install if for you! We just want you to know the facts!
