A while ago, I went to a Korean master who gave me a fascinating homework assignment.

He told me to place white rice into two separate containers and put them in a dark closet for two months. On one container I wrote LOVE. On the other, HATE.

Two months later, the rice with LOVE written on it stayed mostly white/yellow.

The rice with HATE written on it turned dark brown and black.

Same rice. Same closet. Same darkness. Different energy.

Just a reminder that words, thoughts, emotions, and energy affect matter more than we realize. This was a physical experiment showing a spiritual truth.

Being in Italy on my recent trip reminded me why the Blue Zones matter so much.

People in the Blue Zones are part of very large clusters of people who regularly live well into their hundreds. In places like Sardinia, longevity isn’t rare or accidental — it’s woven into daily life through connection, purpose, movement, simple food, prayer, laughter, and community. Life is lived slowly, meals are shared, stress is released, and people feel they belong.

The Blue Zones aren’t about hacks.
They’re about alignment.
They’re about living in a way that supports the body, the soul, and the heart.

That trip was a reminder that longevity comes from how you live, not how fast you live.
