We are thankful for our Veterans! Colonel Robertello and Chief Master Sergeant Vandagriff are two of our dedicated volunteers who served our country and continue to make an impact in our community. Kids On The Rise is honored to have 9 Veterans serving with us!

🦃 Thanksgiving Food Drive for Cumberland County Schools 🦃

Help local families during Thanksgiving by donating food that schools can send home with students during the extended break. When school is out, some kids lose access to regular meals — your generosity can make a real difference.

📅 Saturday, November 15
🕙 10 AM – 1 PM
📍 Drop-off Location: Dogwood Exchange
4950 Hwy 127 S, Crossville, TN 38555

We are collecting:
• Canned goods (preferably pop-top and microwaveable so kids can prepare themselves if parents are working)
• Soups, ravioli, chili, macaroni and cheese, vegetables, fruit cups, oatmeal, breakfast bars ect.

All donations will be delivered to Cumberland County Central Offices to support students and families during the Thanksgiving break.

Every can helps. Every donation matters. Let’s show our community how much we care. Volunteers will be on site to collect items from your vehicle.

Our students and mentors learned about their community during Fall Break. They got a tour of the amazing Art Circle Public Library and the Cumberland County Fire Department with a break for ice cream at Dominick's Froyo! They finished the day with lunch at a local classic…Gondola’s!

Some of kids and mentors headed outdoors to join the Hiking Marathon again this year! They saw the beautiful scenery, spent time in nature and enjoyed some physical activity with great company! They also joined the Walk for Water to raise awareness for the importance of clean water and wells in developing countries. We are blessed to be surrounded by such beauty in our county and are grateful to the volunteers who build the trails and organize the annual event!
