You know what is better than feral cats on silver platters? In a trap! 🍽️

Last week we were out trapping in a public housing complex when a confused individual walked away with one of our precious traps 🤬😡🤬😡🤬

We don’t know why or what they were thinking but we can tell you what they weren’t thinking. How many lives have been helped/ still need to be helped by that one trap, how essential it is to our program, how pricey they can be for a nonprofit, and how long the wait is to get a new one (the brand is the gold standard of traps)

Their ignorant action infuriated us. But there are still many more cats to trap in that community so we can’t let that deter us. Can you help in our efforts? Each trap costs $90, are you able to contribute to the cost of new ones?

Our rescue has big dreams of trapping 1,000 cats in 2026 and every little trap and 💵 contributes greatly towards that goal.

More smol babies have joined us! Remember Mogley from last week with the injured leg? Well his colony has gifted us 3 fat, wiggly babies.

Before doing anything, his feeder immediately reached out to us for advice. We ask for a picture because they are truly worth a 1,000 words.

Most often people misage kittens (understandable) so a photo can help us plan the next steps. It also gives clues to their health and safety of location.

They do look healthy but are in an exposed area. Since we were already planning to come out the next day, we asked her to not disturb the nest. The weather would be pleasant enough for them to stay safe until mom was confined.

There is more to the story but this is a 2 part tale‼️ We want to emphasize how important it is to wait! Take time and do research before moving any small kittens, it could literally mean life or death for them.
