From our founder, Ilana Kanovsky MA OTR/L;

“My passion is helping kids feel successful in daily life and helping parents feel supported. My career as an OT began in 2000 and brought me to support kids in schools and private practice.

I loved my work but didn’t love working in settings that left out parent collaboration or leaned into behavioral approaches based on rewards and controlling a child’s behavior. Instead, I wanted to look at the whole child and understand the reasons for their behaviors. Most of all, I wanted to help parents understand their child’s actions and reactions as well.

My vision came to life in 2022 when I partnered with TEAM 4 Kids in Arizona and opened a therapy practice in New Jersey. They helped me put the foundations in place while offering me the freedom to build a practice around the needs of my community and therapy approach.

Over time, we’ve added occupational therapists to the team so we can serve more children and families through new individual and group services. As a team, we’re driven to provide occupational therapy and feeding services, focusing on the whole kid by celebrating their strengths and supporting their challenges.

Now more than ever, I believe when parents and teachers better understand a child, you can set them up for success. “
