SO MANY CAMP SCAMMERS!
Please don’t be fooled by some of these camp advertisements you are seeing on social media. Most of them are complete crap. Most coaches just want to take your money and forget you exist. Here’s how they do it. It looks like the camp is only $249 but when you look into it more, you find out that’s per day. And camp is 2 days long. And in a six hour day, there’s really only 3 hours and 45 minutes of actual coaching. The rest is a registration period or a warm-up session or lunch break or a boring lecture with a guest coach or strength trainer. There’s no lunch provided. The camp isn’t insured. No athletic trainer available in case of an accident. Yuck! A complete waste of your money and your time. Coaches run these camps like carnivals. They come in town for a few days, take your money, and then you never hear from them ever again. Or maybe they come back five years later. Do yourself a favor and come to a throwing camp this summer that will actually coach the throwing events, improve your technique, and really make a difference in your life.
