Moss Pure

If you’ve seen a moss wall out and about, it’s not made of real moss. Other moss companies and installers use preserved moss, which is no longer living, looks fake, and needs replacing within a year. Unfortunately, most people don’t realize this until they’ve had it installed.

How is Moss Pure different? Moss Pure is the world’s first and only product to use 100% living moss without needing watering, sunlight, or maintenance. The reason why is because of our patent pending and proprietary engineering and biotechnology. Design designed to last, our living moss wall systems are also scientifically certified air filters and stress relief devices. We do NOT sell live moss on its own. Live moss on its own is not an air filter and will not survive for more than a few days. It’s our science and innovation that makes unique - this a brand new product and invention that the world hasn’t seen before.

Moss Pure was invented at a startup competition at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June 2020 where it won first place start up. It took over a year to research and develop our product and test and certify it. The real risk we took in the design is we made it aesthetically pleasing and did not want Moss Pure to look like a scientific device - even though it is jam packed with science.

These pictures were taken over 6 months after installation. We made 4 unique LIVING moss air logos for a high-end senior living facility in Wisconsin ( ). The challenges? Well this isn’t your regular moss project. We don’t use preserved or dead moss like other companies. Using patent pending and proprietary biology and engineering, we’re the only company to use live moss in our unique invention and design. We custom engineered a specific logo, font, and vision for our client - while using our 100% living moss AND science so that no watering, sunlight, or maintenance is needed and the moss is built to last in our product - we’re not just adding moss to a decor piece. We first fabricated the logos into subtle acrylic backers so our client could install these in one piece easily. Although these look so simple, the work was complex and rewarding.
