Congratulations to the Edgewood Yacht Club on its 138th commissioning!

For generations, this historic Cranston institution has brought people together along our beautiful shoreline through tradition, community, and a shared love of the water.

Wishing Commodore Victoria Rhine, the Flag Officers, and all members a safe and successful season ahead! 🌊

Today I had the honor of joining Congressman Gabe Amo, Senator Jack Reed, State Representatives Joe McNamara and Chris Paplauskas, State Senator Lammis Vargas, Citywide Councilwoman Emilia Vaziri, School Committeeman Anthony Melillo, the Hall Library Board of Trustees, Cranston Public Library staff, and the Edgewood community to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of the William H. Hall Free Library.

A cornerstone is more than a piece of stone. It represents vision, history, and the belief that a community is stronger when it invests in learning, beauty, and public spaces that bring people together.

For nearly a century, Hall Library has been one of Edgewood’s most treasured landmarks, serving generations of Cranston families as a place to read, learn, gather, and grow.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this meaningful celebration possible. May Hall Library continue serving Cranston for the next 100 years!
