Weighing in at a cuddly 16 pounds, she’s a sweet, affectionate companion who loves being near her people. She enjoys conversations and isn’t shy about letting you know when she wants attention, making her the perfect friend for someone who appreciates a chatty feline companion.

Because she has experienced such a significant loss and change, she would thrive in a quiet, calm home with a senior person or adults who can provide the patience, understanding, and stability she needs to feel safe again. She will need time to adjust to her new surroundings, but with love and patience, she will reward her new family with endless companionship and affection.

One day, Luna and Honey had a family, a routine, and each other. Then their owners moved and couldn't take them along. Now these two sweet German Shepherd girls (ages 4 and 5) share a kennel at the shelter, holding on to the one thing they still have... their friendship.

Honestly, they should have been named Sugar and Honey. Both are incredibly sweet, friendly girls who know SIT and SHAKE, and they absolutely adore each other. You'll often find them side by side, taking comfort in being together while they wait for someone to choose them.

Our biggest wish is that they can stay together. They've already lost so much. Can you do your magic and help them find a family that will love them both for the rest of their lives? Please share their story.

Dallas Animal Services and Spay Neuter Network will still be hosting our monthly low cost pet vaccine clinic on the second Saturday of the month — but please note that June’s clinic will take place later in the day than usual.

Low cost vaccines for dogs and cats, plus flea prevention, heartworm prevention, and more will be available while supplies and capacity last.
