SCB Construction Group
Strong communities are built through relationships—and this spring, our teams had the opportunity to stay connected across both local and industry-focused events.
Members from both SCB Construction Group and SteelCo Buildings, Inc. joined local business leaders at the Newton County Chamber of Commerce 31st Annual Golf Tournament, supporting an event that continues to strengthen relationships across our local business community.
We also attended the NAIOS Summit on May 14, connecting with industry professionals around Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS)—a growing asset class supporting contractors, logistics users, fleet operations, and other service-based businesses across the region.
Events like these remind us that staying connected to our community, partners, and industry helps us better understand where the market is moving and how we can continue building with purpose.

Today, SCB Construction Group and SteelCo Buildings join in honoring the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Their courage and selflessness laid the foundation for the freedoms we live with every day. As we continue building in the communities we serve, we do so with gratitude for those who gave everything.
We remember. We honor. We are grateful.
It was an honor to join Church at the Grove in celebrating the ribbon cutting of their new 26,000-SF worship facility in Walnut Grove, GA! Moments like these are always meaningful—not just because of the building itself, but because of what the space will represent for the congregation and community for years to come.
We’re grateful for the trust Church at the Grove placed in our team and proud to see this next chapter officially come to life. 🙏
We’re proud to celebrate the completion of Church at the Grove’s new 26,000-SF worship facility in Walnut Grove, GA. Designed to support both worship and community connection, the new space features a 474-seat sanctuary, expansive gathering areas, and a welcoming lobby environment built to serve families and attendees for years to come.
The facility combines insulated metal panels (IMPs), stone, and horizontal metal paneling to create a modern yet timeless exterior that reflects the church’s identity, while the interior layout prioritizes accessibility, flow, and flexibility for services, events, and community engagement alike.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to help bring this vision to life and contribute to a space designed to support the church’s continued growth and impact. We’ll be sharing more photos and video from the recent ribbon cutting ceremony soon!

Over the past couple of months, our teams from SCB Construction Group and SteelCo Buildings, Inc. had the opportunity to participate in 3 events focused on the future of market trends, business innovation, and workforce development across Georgia.
At the Small Bay Summit in Atlanta, our team connected with industry leaders to explore development strategies, market trends, and opportunities within one of the fastest-growing industrial asset classes.
At the 2nd Annual Business Summit & Expo with our Newton County Chamber of Commerce, we joined local business leaders for conversations around AI, growth strategy, marketing, leadership, and data-driven decision-making—valuable discussions shaping how companies continue to adapt and compete in a changing market.
We also participated in the Regional Trades & Tools Expo hosted by Newton College & Career Academy, where more than 800 students explored careers across construction, welding, utilities, electrical, and skilled trades through hands-on experiences and industry interaction.
Events like these matter because strong communities are built through both leadership and opportunity—supporting today’s businesses while investing in the next generation entering the workforce.

We’re excited to feature our partnership with Wesley Methodist Church of Covington on a new 10,652 SF worship facility thoughtfully designed to reflect both tradition and its natural surroundings.
Nestled into a wooded site, the building blends classic church architecture with a warm, rustic aesthetic—featuring a steeply sloped roofline, prominent steeple, and custom stained-glass windows. Natural materials like wood and stone, along with a darker, neutral palette, help the structure feel grounded in its environment, while the footprint was carefully planned to preserve existing vegetation.
A covered portico leads into a welcoming foyer and vestibule, setting the tone for both worship and community. The layout also looks ahead, with classroom wings designed to support future expansion as the congregation continues to grow.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring this vision to life.
We recently completed a 4,390-SF warehouse expansion and full facility renovation for Yancey Rents - The Cat Rental Store —executed on budget and time with a strong focus on operational continuity.
The project expanded and modernized an active facility to better support day-to-day rental operations, while extending the life and functionality of the existing structure through a comprehensive renovation.
Project highlights include:
🔹4,390-SF wash bay expansion to support heavy equipment servicing
🔹Full interior renovation of the existing warehouse
🔹Site improvements and infrastructure upgrades to support long-term use
🔹A layout designed to improve efficiency, durability, and workflow
Projects like this require more than construction—they require trust, coordination, and careful sequencing to keep operations moving while improvements are underway. Proud of our team for delivering with precision and professionalism.
The next phase is underway at CGA Reps’ new 25,890-SF headquarters and showroom, as concrete foundations and slabs are poured, and steel soon to rise. This innovative facility combines a fully operational warehouse with a 9,000-SF showroom & test kitchen, giving the client a space that functions as both a logistics hub and a live-demonstration environment.
With the underground water detention system complete, sitework finishing up, and our teams now moving quickly through concrete, this project is shaping up to be a benchmark for form, function, and precision delivery.
