Calvary Baptist Church

Faith matters. Faith carries around a big vision of who God is. Trust always sides with God and gives His book the benefit of the doubt. The person of faith has a prewired default system to lean on the Lord and His promises. Churches develop postures of faith. Not every church believes the Lord at the same depth and breadth. Let’s call big faith churches “Caleb Churches.” He was one Biblical character full of robust faith and its accompanying vision and courage. His is the kind of faith that takes a church with vision into the future that God has for them. We need more of Caleb’s faith leaning forward at Calvary. We are on the cusp of exciting days. Stefan Nitzschke will onboard on July 1 as our “Senior Pastor in Waiting.” His vision will emerge over time and our trust in his leading and in the good guidance of our faithful God will take us into our future. Let’s spend some weeks together considering Caleb and how God might forge a more Caleb-like-forwarding-leaning faith at Calvary as we step into what God has next for this good place.
