There has been much progress and many achievements made since the last slaves were made aware of their freedom that day in Texas in 1865.
Today, we asks you to reflect on the legacy of resilience, strength, and the enduring fight for freedom. The fight against systemic racism continues, we must teach the future generation to be proud and united. As we remember our past, let us also protect our future.
