Passing along the word for The CommUnity Project, a start-up nonprofit and one of our community partners. Theyโ€™re good people doing good work right here in our community.

Take a moment to look them up, learn what theyโ€™re about, and see how you can help make a real impact in peopleโ€™s lives.

Sometimes making a difference starts with simply showing up. Get involved, lend a hand, and help support those in need around you.

Over the past weekend, our Founder, Board Chair, and several of our members had the opportunity to join leaders from across the nation through programs hosted by Connected Americans, Shared Future and United We Dream.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and connect with changemakers who are working to strengthen communities in every corner of the country.

We are also honored that our Founder was invited to speak and represent both the CommUnity Project and Connected Americans on Capitol Hill during the 14th anniversary of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), sharing her story alongside United We Dream, advocates and community leaders from across the country. Fourteen years after DACA was established, hundreds of thousands of young people continue to contribute to our communities, yet many families remain in limbo.

At The CommUnity Project, we believe in creating communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We support a pathway to citizenship and a more humane immigration system that keeps families together and recognizes the contributions of immigrants who call this country home.

It is inspiring to see the growth, leadership, and relationships being built through this work. Every conversation is a reminder of the power of community and what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.

We are excited for what lies ahead and grateful to be part of this journey. Most of all, we are excited about what we are building together and the impact it will have on the communities we serve.
