We’re happy to announce two new softball instructors who will be offering weekly pitching, hitting, and defensive clinics at Training Days!

🔹 Meet Delaney Mathews

Delaney is a senior at Treynor High School, a left-handed pitcher, first baseman, and power hitter with over five years of elite club softball experience.

🏆 Achievements include:
• 1st Team All-State, All-District, and All-Conference
• Pitcher of the Year & Offensive Player of the Year
• School records: 20 career homeruns & .559 batting average

She currently competes on the Top Gun Fastpitch 18u National Team, facing some of the best players in the country. Delaney’s goal is to help young athletes sharpen their skills, build confidence, and develop a strong competitive mindset.

🔹 Meet Sara Mathews

Softball has been Sara’s passion since she first picked up a glove at age 8. She played fastpitch through college as a catcher and outfielder, competing for Peru State College (1992–1996) and helping her team reach the NAIA National Tournament in 1996. In 2015, her team was inducted into the Peru State College Hall of Fame.

Most recently, Sara served as an assistant coach for Treynor High School softball, specializing in pitcher development.
