MAYOR'S BALL TO AID PROGRESS AT THE ARMORY
These days, the Armory is looking (and performing) better than it has in years!
This progress – including four new upstairs restrooms and the ongoing restoration of the building’s iconic exterior – could not have happened without strong support from the Cottage Grove community.
This Saturday, Oct. 12, Armory supporters will gather for the fourth-annual Cottage Grove Mayor’s Ball. It’s an event that has already raised thousands of dollars to aid the restoration of the building, but it’s a lot more than that. Guest speaker Mary Jennings “MJ” Hegar, a decorated war veteran, women’s military advocate and congressional candidate, will offer her remarks. There will be a host of excellent silent and live auction items. Music will be provided by the Blue Skies Big Band, and Oakway Catering will provide a sumptuous meal.
There are still many ways to be part of the Mayor’s Ball. To explore ticket purchases and sponsorship options, visit https://cottagegrove.ejoinme.org/mayorsball2019.

The Armory is bustling this afternoon, with preparations continuing for the 43rd Annual Pioneer Quilters show, which runs tomorrow through Saturday. A whopping 125 quilts will be on display, including several from the Cottage Grove Museum. Admission is $7 and $3.50 for students, and the show runs from 10-4.
