Here's what we'd ask instead...

"WHY is my child not grasping reading, even with lots of practice and support?"

Because the reality is whether you homeschool or they go to traditional school, they're getting plenty of opportunities to practice reading. And if reading was going to improve with practice, it would have by now.

Sometimes it takes more than practice; it takes training.

Think of it like learning an instrument. Practice matters, but it's the intensity, repetition, constant challenge, and accountability that really helps you excel.

Improving reading skills happens the same way.

At LearningRx, we have a targeted reading training program that addresses the real reasons kids struggle to grasp reading (memory, attention, auditory processing, or other cognitive skill weaknesses).

Instead of just "more practice" this summer, we can give you a clear plan to improve the brain behind reading so it becomes easier to grasp in the first place.

Seriously, what's the deal with that?

What looks like selective memory may actually be something else...

Things that are tied to emotions (positive or negative) are often easier to remember. So that promise that you would take them to the trampoline park 6 months ago? The excitement made it stick.

Remembering to put their shoes away when they come in the door is a completely different skillset. THAT requires strong working memory, logic, and other cognitive processing skills.

For kids who are smart but struggle to keep up, understanding WHY can make all the difference. Call us today to learn more about our brain-based support for kids and adults!
