Our first Oregon 2020 Birding Blitz of the season starts THIS WEDNESDAY in Wasco County. There's a lot of work to be done to cover this interesting, diverse area of central Oregon. What a great Birding Blitz season! Our last two Blitzes of the season featured over 30 amazing volunteers.

In Umatilla county, we visited nearly 95% of the Oregon2020 Hotspot squares and counted 170 bird species. Local highlights included Gray Catbirds, Veeries, and Bobolinks. In Jefferson county, we counted over 165 species including White-throated Swifts, Eastern Kingbirds and Lewis' Woodpeckers.

Many thanks to our Blitz participants throughout the 2016 season. We look forward to birding with everyone next year on more Oregon2020 Birding Blitzes!
