13 years ago, I did some work for some people over towards Jefferson. Their cabinets were solid, but the doors, face frames, and drawers were in terrible shape. So instead of building new cabinets, I suggested we replace all the other parts. Oh, and a table top and other stuff, too. It was a sizable job, but half as much as all new cabinets. Today I received an email from them:
"During this time of social distancing, I took some time off from my racial justice work. I, like many, are in the thick of it again.

I am writing, however, to share with you how much your remodel of our kitchen - the cabinets, the table, the divider - has made it a great place to cook and to hang out. Now that we are cooking exclusively at home, I am filled with appreciation and gratitude.

We appreciate you so much!!

I just wanted you to know. We hope you are well." Kind of makes it all worthwhile. :)

A work in progress. As part of a kitchen cabinet job, I included these open corner round shelves. Of course, then that means I have to make curved face frames, and curved moldings....
