Lakeview Local Schools

Last week, Mrs. Shuster, Mrs. Prokop, and Mrs. Comichisto participated in a week-long Manufacturing Boot Camp in partnership with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center (TCESC) and Ashland University.

This valuable experience provided opportunities to explore local industry and workforce pathways to better prepare our students for careers in manufacturing, business, and tourism. Throughout the week, they visited Novelis, Starr Manufacturing, Junior Achievement's BizTown, and The Grand Resort, while also meeting with Trumbull County Tourism representatives to learn about career opportunities and economic development throughout our region.

In addition to these hands-on experiences, they completed graduate coursework focused on connecting classroom learning with real-world workforce skills.

We are proud of our educators for continually seeking opportunities to grow professionally and bring meaningful career-connected learning experiences back to our students! 🐾💙
