Talking Excitingly

You know you’ve stumbled into something special when it’s not just the “stupid tourist” on the bridge with the big camera and tripod, but also the runner who pauses mid-stride to watch the rising sun, the commuter slipping off a call to take in the silhouette of St. Mary Redcliffe in the distance, the worker setting down their broom to marvel at the reflections in the water, and the student pulling out their phone to capture the moment (for whatever social media the kids are using these days).

I set out on this brisk Bristol morning chasing a sunrise worthy of getting me . Never in my wildest dreams did I expect the lone little cloud, on what seemed like a cloudless morning, to float into perfect position to create a scene that felt less like real life and more like a Turner painting.
