April is the Month of the Military Child - Celebrate with a custom URT shirt 💜

We'd love to see both military and civilian families, teachers, staff, and community members show pride in our amazing military-connected students, and Coronado military community, by purchasing a shirt. Anyone is welcome to order!

The color Purple represents the combined colors of all the military branches. Dandelions are also associated with this month because military children can take root and thrive everywhere!
Our heartfelt thanks to URT for donating their expertise and time to make this shirt come to life!

Purchases are PRE ORDERS and will be available for PICK UP ONLY at Village Elementary School OR Silver Strand Elementary (be sure to indicate which site you prefer at check out). Shirts will be available to pick up sometime the week of April 6-9 (an email with pick up details will be sent). No items can be shipped.

ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY FRIDAY, MARCH 20TH.

CUSD is looking for volunteers... parents, community members, grandparents to help at Village and Silver Strand elementary schools!! We are excited to bring back the Everyone A Reader (EAR) program. EAR volunteers are specially trained to provide one-to-one reading support to students in grades 1-3 who need extra reading help. To participate, volunteers must complete a training session before working with students. CUSD is hosting a one hour workshop on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 9-10am in the District Office, 201 Sixth Street. Volunteers must also have a CUSD volunteer clearance including Livescan Fingerprint. The district will reimburse up to $50 for the cost of fingerprinting, which can be used for all volunteering in the district for a lifetime.
