Purple Heart medals are sometimes regrettably separated from their owners, only to later turn up in garage sales or flea markets. Every medal has a story behind it. Every medal represents courage and sacrifice. If you've found an orphaned Purple Heart you can complete the form on our website at https://www.purpleheartmission.org/recovery-advocacy to help your orphaned medal find its way home. Our organization will work to return the medal to its rightful owner, if they can be found, or if we cannot locate the owner, the medal will be included in our traveling exhibition or loaned to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor for display.
