was such a fun rehearsal dinner..

We were at the rehearsal dinner last night for today's wedding, and I feel compelled to say something about it here. It was quite a feeling, walking into a huge room (maybe 150 people were there) full of laughing, smiling, hugging... just a ton of joy. Not polite greetings. No small talk. Pure affection, all around, and an atmosphere that I rarely see. I've already loved every moment I've had with the couple (they are 110% truly special people on so many levels, and every one of you would love them too). But seeing them last night, celebrating with family & friends, being celebrated by family & friends... well, yeah, I actually teared up on the way home in the car, overwhelmed by having seen what I think is the power & beauty of authentic human connection. It's a moving, meaningful experience to be in the presence of truly awesome people. Can't wait for today to unfold!
