Tip of the day: All items of personal property are “of value”. Also I’ve been hearing this word “antique value” thrown around lately. I think when people ask about those two things, they’re mostly looking for items that are perhaps over a certain $$ value. Also antiques are generally classified as anything over 100 years old. Which means Art Deco is getting there in 6 years. However, I wouldn’t necessarily call a Donald Deskey, Paul Frankl or Gilbert Rhode piece an “antique”.

More reasons to call an appraiser and figure out your needs in regards to the items you’re curious about. Depending on your intended use, it usually determines the value or sometimes cost of the item.

Tip of the day: Old doesn’t necessarily mean valuable. Always good to contact an appraiser. Due to supply and demand a lot of things have decreased in value.
