I used to think hosting was about impressing people.
Making everything perfect.
Having the right food.
Cleaning the house until midnight the night before.
But over time, I realized something.
The gatherings people remember most are rarely the “perfect” ones.
They’re the ones where:
someone laughs too loud,
people stay later than planned,
and nobody wants the night to end.
That’s what people are actually craving right now.
Not perfection.
Connection.
And honestly…
I think we all need a little more of that lately.
