“Last night was breathtaking, intentional, and purposeful.”

I’m honestly at a loss for words because it finally happened.

Dr. Terrance Berry is officially a member of the 💯 Black Men of DeKalb.

Many people may ask, “Why join an organization when you’re already doing the work?”

The answer is simple…

Because we can accomplish more together than we ever could alone.

The 💯 Black Men is one of the largest and most respected mentoring organizations in the country. Partnering with men and women who share a passion for serving our communities only multiplies the impact we can make. This has never been about titles—it’s about building God’s Kingdom, carrying the torch our ancestors lit before us, and laying new bricks on the foundation they sacrificed to build.

I’ve learned that instead of complaining about the problems in our communities, we must become part of the solution.

To now stand shoulder to shoulder with so many accomplished Black Kings and Queens—leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, mentors, and servants—is both humbling and inspiring. It truly feels like being welcomed into a family committed to changing lives.

Although my parents are no longer here to witness this milestone, I know they would be proud. Thankfully, God blessed me with an incredible village that has carried me through every season.

This isn’t the finish line.

It’s the starting line.
