Socialization is familiarizing your puppy to your human life. Running fast and chasing things will most likely be part of our new puppy’s life, so we hung out at a racing event this weekend with our friends .hero.dogs and to do just that — hang out. The puppies met/saw new people and new dogs and got to experience lots of sights and sounds. Socialization should always be thoughtful, appropriate, positive, and on puppy’s terms. (Sorry for the leash handle in the photo — the dog trainer’s equivalent to a thumb in the photo! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️)
