He’s overcome so much in the last three years.
I came across a video on Instagram a few weeks ago of a photographer taking her grandpa out for a photo session and I immediately fell in love with the idea. Those of you who know Grandpa know you will never find him without his Tilly hat, jeans, and sanuks. He’s a creature of habit, and R.H.
Moore is in his blood. I felt it would only be fitting if he was photographed in the element he’s spent most of his life in.
Seeing him out there and getting him to smile was just so heart warming knowing he’s overcome as much as he has.
Losing grandma, getting diagnosed with lung cancer and having a series of unexpected strokes following cancer treatment, he has defied the odds against him and worked hard to still be who we all jokingly call “wild bill”. When people hear Billy Pickering, I am honored that it is always followed with how appreciated he is and how much everyone loves him. We all are so honored to call him grandpa and grateful for the legacy he has built.-7/12/25
