I once had a trainer ask me if I was afraid of being great, and that changed my life. Before, I was afraid to try what I didnt think I could do. I didnt think i could pick up the weight, so I wouldnt try, I didnt think I could make the jump, so I wouldnt try. And I didnt get anywhere. But being asked if I was afraid to be great made me realize how much I wanted it. I wanted to do anything I decided to do, so I started giving myself insane challenges; run a marathon, be able to pass all the military fitness tests, climb 20 feet straight up, do a human flag. Of course I didnt just do those things that day, but having that crazy goal made me work hard to achieve that greatness. There is something to be said for making small, achievable goals, but it is something else entirely to achieve something crazy. So, what insane goal can I help you reach in the new year?

Let's talk about the best way to avoid holiday bloat. You guessed it, its WATER! I know not everyone wants to pick a glass of water over a soda but here are the facts:
1) studies show that drinking one glass of water can raise your metabolic rate by up to 30% for a whole hour! Isnt that rad! You're burning more calories from something that took you a few minutes to do!
2) fat cells cannot burst and be flushed out without water! You can exercise four hours a day but if you aren't drinking any water, it's going to be hard for your body to actually get rid of that fat!
3) drinking water helps to flush out salts that cause water retention and bloat. Yes I know. Its counterintuitive, drink more water to avoid water retention, but it's TRUE. You have to flush out all the bad stuff that's clinging on from thanksgiving or Christmas overindulgence!

Now, how much water should you be drinking? I reccomend a gallon a day, it's what I do for myself, but the official recommended intake for weightloss is half of your bodyweight in ounces. If you weigh 200lbs, that's 100oz of water. If you weigh 150lbs that's 75oz.

Water is the easiest thing you can do to help yourself lose weight! Book a consult or a diet plan for more help!
