Seed and Sower

We pulled and tugged, as sweat dripped from our brows and necks. The sun blazed relentlessly upon our backs. Even the pavers were steaming. We were drenched and parched after walking the grounds, pulling w**ds throughout the garden. The bowing of the pepper plants betokening and so did we. We were exhausted and bewildered at the amount of tending the garden needed before the harvest season. We were determined for every plant to thrive, produce, and not be choked out by the w**ds. So, we replenished our souls with refreshing bottles of ice water and began to labor, until the sun set that day.
Here on earth we face a different kind of w**d, daily. Not a garden w**d, but a w**d of human condition.
Evil of this earth grows among the flowing wheat fields of Christ followers, determined to destroy the farmer’s crop.
Jesus is a good farmer and His field is perfectly aligned with rows of wheat that are not overrun with w**ds, but they are present and presently trying to overturn what The Lord has planted.
The villainous w**d's plan is to choke life out of the wheat.
The Farmer’s plan is to overcome His harvest and breathe everlasting life into the wheat for all of eternity.
The wheat knows Jesus.
The w**ds are unruly, bane, a nuisance of evil destruction, trapped underneath the weight of their evil and wicked schemes.
The wheat is gentle, glowing under the Son’s mighty glory, and flows freely, without feeling threatened, because it knows its farmer!
May you know Your Farmer’s harvest plan and feel His love flowing freely within you, today.
Matthew 13:24-30
Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed w**ds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the w**ds also appeared.“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the w**ds come from?’ “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the w**ds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the w**ds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

This Valentine's Day marks 20 years since my rollover accident. It is a day of celebration for my family and I, not just because I survived, but because this is the day my relationship with Jesus began!! I was Saved!!!!! ❤
In my moment of desperation and fear I handed my life over to Christ! Yes. This is what it took for me to finally understand and witness 'True Love'. The accident paints a perfect picture of 'God's Redeeming Love'. He allowed this so that I could have the opportunity to surrender my life to Him and He would ultimately take me off the road that was leading to my eternal death. My life was full of shame, alchoholism, regret, prostitution, addiction, risky behavior, secrets, mistakes, heartache, pain, anger, jealousy, and well... sin. I was destined for hell.
Jesus saved me from death! ❤
Jesus saved me from myself! ❤
Jesus saved me, for Him! ❤
As I was hanging from my seatbelt, my head throbbed. I was covered in dirt and blood. My body was in a state of shock. The temperature outside was below freezing. Ice and snow covered the ground and had made its way in through the busted out windows and smashed crevices of the jeep. I was thankful, because later I found out, this was also what God used in His plan to save my life. The low temperatures helped to keep my blood flow pumping slow where my head had been gashed open, and all of my hair helped to clot and cover the bleeding area. Oh God's plan was scary, but perfect. I was desperate. I was helpless. I was frightened. I was in panic mode. I was not sure if this was how I was going to die. The next few moments are the only vivid, detailed pieces of the accident that I remember so clearly. Seems like yesterday. I cried out for Jesus! I immediately felt the presence of Christ. I was at peace. I heard Him tell me that "He loved me" and reminded me that "He willingly took my place on The Cross so that I may have eternal life". He forgave all of my sins. He told me that "I am made for a purpose and my days are written". I then saw myself walking with Him! Oh how I wanted nothing more after that, than to either die and be with Jesus or live, loving My Jesus.
He planned for me to live!
My Bible was found at the crash sight. It is still colored in blood stains and opens directly to Psalms 139 where the pages are smeared in remnants of that day. I'm thankful for my dear friend had gifted it to me exactly 11 months earlier, because I used that Bible for 5 more years. I retired it shortly after God had given me the bravery to begin sharing my story with others. The chapter begins on that beautiful Valentine's morning on a lowly, Oklahoma backroad in 2004. The road I no longer see in the rear view mirror, and neither does God.
Oh how He loves!!! ❤
I am now on a road that is destined for 'Streets paved with Gold!'
It has been a hard road, but the scenery is beautiful!
I am not perfect!
I am being refined daily!
God still loves me when I mess up and steer off course!
God is Love! ❤
I live with purpose!
I live for God! I love because of God!
I live with scars as a reminder of that Valentine's Day!
Oh, what a day of remembrance!
This is what 'True Love' really is, Ya'll! ❤
God's love is infinite, unconditional, everlasting, forgiving, marvelous, and faithful!
He will chase you down!
He brings life out of death!
He will save you!
God is Love! ❤
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love for using this: that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
John 3:16 " For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
1 John 4:16 "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is Love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them."
If you would like to hear my full story on how God revealed to me the true meaning of 'Love', gave me purpose and showed me the value of my worth, PM me. I'd love to meet with you or your group and share God's Love with you. I pray my story reveals God's greatest love story to help lead you toward roads paved with gold.
*Give Christmas back to Jesus*
Black Friday has never been about Jesus. It has always portrayed highly advertised, overated, deals claiming to save everyone money on sought out Christmas gifts and the most desired, manufactured, material, momentary possessions.
Then there is Jesus.
He needs no advertising.
His life is not overated.
His gift of salvation is free.
His Gift is eternal.
What He claims is not manufactured.
Wise men seek Him.
He is the Christmas Gift that desires you.
He is the reason for the season.
He is the gift that we should be seeking.
He is the gift that we should be sharing.
He is Christmas.
Give Christmas back to Jesus.
Isaiah 9:6-7
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this."
Luke 12:15
"Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
