Ruby Johnson TRAPS East Region Part Time Employee of the Year

Ruby Johnson, Customer Service Representative III at the C.K. Ray Recreation Center was chosen as the Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) East Region Part Time Employee of the Year. Ruby has worked for the parks and recreation department for 15 years primarily working in the kidz zone (child watch area). Ruby is a natural when it comes to working with children, and her warm personality has made her a favorite with patrons. She knows many of them by name and goes above and beyond to ensure that they have a positive experience at the recreation center. Parents trust her with their children's well-being, and kids love spending time with her. Her friendly personality, excellent customer service skills, and dedication to her job made her an outstanding candidate for this award. Congratulations to Mrs. Ruby on your well-deserved award and recognition!!

Ruby Johnson was recognized today at the city council meeting for 15 years of outstanding service to the City of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department. Mrs. Ruby has been working in the Kidz Zone at the C.K. Ray Recreation Center for 15 years. Ruby is trusted with taking care of the members kids while the parents are working out. The kids and parents love her. She takes the time to get to know each of the kids by their name and their parents as well. Many of the kids don’t want to leave when the parents come to pick them up. The parents know when their kids are with Mrs. Ruby they are being cared for and have nothing to worry about.
