Everything in your session should be tailored to you specifically!
Some clients withhold feedback because they:
• are afraid of hurting the therapist’s feelings
• have the misconception that “it has to hurt to help”
OR
• think “They’re the professional, not me.”

Trust me; ensuring you enjoy every part of your session is my ultimate goal. So please, tell me while I still have the opportunity to correct something you may not be enjoying! I am the experienced professional, but I can’t feel the response your nervous system gives.

Finally:
If you’ve ever provided feedback or asked for adjustments in pressure and were ignored, or told to simply bear it; I sincerely apologize for the disservice that therapist provided you.
