Another case of turning a bad situation into a windfall for those in need. When a trucker needed to redirect 100 boxes of Salad kits, Friends of Forgotten Children didn't just keep them—they called us.
200 packs later, we had split the haul with Christ the King Parish and restocked our pantry. This is our network doing what it does best: agencies supporting each other to feed people and prevent waste.
Kudos to our pantry manager, Jim Gerraughty, for quickly jumping into action to make this happen!
