Yesterday I posted this pic from the stage of CBGBs taken after a Thundertrain gig in April 1977. Third Rail and Willie Alexander's Boom Boom Band were playing on the bill supporting "Live at the Rat." Also on stage are pen pals from other bands who journeyed to the Bowery to bear witness. This is the same pic but with names attached. oncearocker.com

THUNDERTRAIN THURSDAY! The Thundertrain guys relax on stage at CBGB’s in April 1977 with a gang that includes Richard Nolan and Willie Loco Alexander. The Boom Boom Band, Third Rail and Thundertrain were among 9 Boston bands playing CBGB all week, promoting the new LP, “Live at the Rat.” I think this pic was snapped by the late Jay Gruberger (O.Rex). oncearocker.com

Today, back in ’83. I was on the road with Joe Perry Project. Our manager, Tim Collins, called this our “Do or Die Tour.” Our mission was to prove to the industry that Joe Perry could complete a USA tour on his feet and out of jail. Tonight we were only three nights in, with brand new member Joe Pet behind the drums. oncearocker.com
