Handling finances can be difficult for anybody but navigating that world as an individual who is blind or visually impaired poses an extra challenge. However, the rise of different technologies has made paying bills, keeping finances organized, and staying secure easier and more accessible than ever.
VisionServe Alliance goes into detail about the different strategies, technologies and programs that can aid individuals with visual impairments in handling money matters. Read their insights by visiting the link in the comments.
PD: The first slide says: Did you know the US is the only country where every denomination of currency is the same size? This means individuals with visual impairments must find different ways to tell bills apart. The second slide has illustrations of a purse and wallet and says: separating bills into different pockets is one method. Below is an illustration of a phone with the text: Using an app or AI tool is another. The final slide has the title of VisionServe Alliance’s post: Empowered Finances, Banking and Technology for People Living with Vision Loss.
