Pointe Barre Studios
03/08/2025
If you’ve been to the new studio at 2 Phoenix Ave. in downtown Concord. You will notice the disco ball in the center of the studio. Like everything at it’s intentional, the disco ball is not only whimsical, playful and fun and I personally think beautiful! The intention is in the reflection of the small diamonds around the room. They give you an anchor in your posture’s. You may hear me cued as the “DRISTI GAZE”
Drishti is a Sanskrit term meaning “view,” “gaze,” or “point of focus” and is used in yoga or BARRE and meditation practices to enhance concentration and mindfulness. It involves directing the eyes to a specific point to stabilize both the mind and body. In Class each posture can have a corresponding drishti to help practitioners maintain balance, alignment, and mental focus. So the next time you’re in class notice all of the points of focus around the room that you can use to increase your balance, mindfulness and overall harmony in your body. Let’s make next week a great week don’t get blown away out there if you’re in New England.
